Civil Disobedience

This picture was shot yesterday during the Blockupy-Demonstration in Frankfurt a.M.. The government of Frankfurt was afraid of violent protesters and banned demonstrations during the last days except saturday. The whole city was in a condition reminiscent of civil war, the city centre was completely sealed, and we had to show our identity card to get to our student hostel because our street was blocked by armed policemen. Meanwhile, the "violent demonstrators" sat near the Main, talked and played music...The demonstration on saturday was also heavily guarded, which did not upset this little protester, who ran around in a carefree manner, observed by a row of policemen...
